Hotshot came to Cassie at the age of 8 weeks from Terri Morgan (Calais Aussies) and Selena Poplin (Carolina Aussies). Cassie decided Hotshot was the dog for her when he was 1 week old. Now 11 years later, the bond forged between them is even stronger and the love greater. He is her Heart Dog.

Third Place 1998 ASCA National Specialty

Hotshot was originally purchased as a Junior Showmanship dog, and he and Cassie excelled as a team in that area. Winning Reserve Junior Handler at the 1998 ASCA National under Janet Goin, to being the 1999 #1 Aussie Junior Handler team. They went to Westminster and made all the cuts up to the final 8 that Judge Edd Embry Bivin chose his two finalists from.

Cassie also piloted Hotshot around the Conformation rings. As a Junior Owner Handler, she finished is ASCA, AKC and Canadian Championships. This included multiple ASCA Best of Breed Wins, 1st Place in the 1999 ASCA National American Bred class under Peggy Albertson, and Multiple AKC Best of Breed wins and Group placements.

Now as a Veteran, this team is still tearing up the rings. Hotshot has won multiple Veteran, Best Veteran, Veteran Group 1, and Best Veteran in Sweeps. At age 11 this dog is not letting Cassie slow down. The bond of the heart is stronger then the bond of the mind. Besides, Age is just a number right?

Even at 2 months shy of 11 years old, Hotshot still has beautiful foottiming and balance.
